Did You Know It Gets Cold In Winter?

As Ms Ginny said when she posted this article link on Facebook, I am really not sure why the authorities didn’t think it might get COLD in the WINTERTIME, but maybe bureaucracies are the same worldwide? ;)

Mostly Done, And Some Wonderful New Things

I am finally back online, after the move and various Internet issues (don't get me started!), and everyone has been knitting like crazy for Ishinomaki!

Here are a few items from the Lovely Ms Diane:

Incredible!

Our friend Phil got a few donations for Knit Ishinomaki while home for the holidays...

And when I say "a few", I mean...Well, take a look at this!

He will be delivering all these items to the Koganehama Kaikan this week!

Update

Donations are still coming in, I am so delighted with the response to Knit Ishinomaki...  A few local knitters have already given several hats and scarves to be sent off to Japan, and we are even getting offers to donate yarn for the project!

But I couldn't resist showing off Paula's awesome neckwarmer:

Look at those buttons!!  :D

Busy, Busy, Busy

So everything is crazy, the holidays are coming, and I will be moving at the end of the month, but I am almost ready to send my first parcel of hats and scarves to Japan!  Will post pictures soon, if I get a chance  :)

Address for Handmade Donations

We have our official Japanese address for Knit Ishinomaki items!

This is the place to send items directly to Shaney, who will be coordinating distribution with the folks at the kaikan...I am still working on getting us a PO Box for those who would like to save on postage and send items here inside the US to be sent on to Ishinomaki.
